From my VHS recordings, here is a collection of bumpers, promos and commercials that aired on the Sci-Fi Channel on October 12th, 2005. Specifically, this was during a daytime marathon of The Incredible Hulk (episodes from the late 70's/early 80's TV show). Included here: 1. Sci-Fi bumper (flying above the crowd) 2. Battlestar Galactica episode promo (a rerun of the episode "Fragged", which first aired on July 29th, 2005) - "This Friday at 10, part of Sci-Fi Friday!" 3. Ghost Hunters new episode promo (Episode #12 of the 2nd season, featuring the Lizzie Borden house and the Mansfield Reformatory prison) - "Ghost Hunters. Part of the all-new Sci-Fi Wednesday!" 4. Sci-FI magazine promo (including article on "Firefly/Serenity") 5.Campbell's Chunky Soup promo (featuring Donovan McNabb) 6. Sci-Fi bumper (dark figure in the woods) 7. Sci-Fi bumper (go fetch the stick!) 8. Sci-Fi bumper (elephant bush) 9. Promo for "Dungeons and Dragons II: Wrath of the Dragon God" - along with bonus promo advertising a sneak peak of "The Fog" (in theaters on October 14th, 2005) 10. Sci-Fi bumper (a pesky hair) 11. Commercial promo for "Zathura"("from the world of Jumanji"!) Anyone remember this movie? What strikes me is this starts Josh Hutcherson and Kristen Stewart, BEFORE they became popular in The Hunter Games and Twilight Saga films. 12. Sci-Fi bumper (Evil Jack in the Box) Commentary: Unlike when the Sci-Fi Channel would do marathons in the 90's, by 2005, this type of marathon was just used for daytime filler. I was hoping to find some cool bumpers or highlight reels celebrating the old Hulk TV show, but there were none. An episode of the Hulk would end, and they'd go right into the next episode, without any fanfare. It was just filler to pass the time. Still, I do enjoy the various "sci-fi/fantasy" stylistic bumpers the Sci-Fi Channel used during this period (as shown here). This is a sequel upload to one of my first uploads (from a couple years ago), found here: • Sci Fi Channel (Incredible Hulk marathon) ... In retrospect, I think I've gotten better at splicing together these commercials/promos.
