In today’s video, we spend a peaceful day by the forest stream surrounded by nature as we begin building a stone oven to smoke our sausages. Using rocks gathered from the water's edge, we carefully stack them to create a sturdy structure that protects the fire and holds the heat. The atmosphere is full of the fresh scent of the forest and the sound of flowing water. Together, we work side by side to set up a bamboo rack for the food. We hang long strings of traditional sausages (lạp sườn) above the gentle smoke and fire. Watching the smoke rise and the food slowly transform makes the hard work even more joyful, and before long, the air is filled with the delicious aroma of smoked meat and grilled forest birds. Once the smoking process is complete, we prepare to bring our harvest back home. Carrying the smoked treats through the forest paths, we look forward to sharing this traditional meal with our children. Preparing food this way is not only a way to support our daily life but also a chance to preserve ancient techniques and enjoy the harmony of nature. After the trek, we return home to rest and spend time together as a family.
