Two months ago I made an IG post about DIY mint extract. Here are three ways to use mint extract at home. Air Freshener What you need ~ 10-20 drops mint extract ~ 1/2 cup Infused lavender water (overnight steep) ~ 1 tablespoon witch hazel ~ Spray bottle Steps Add mint extract, infused lavender water and witch hazel to a blow. Mix. Funnel mixture into the spray bottle. Ready to use in the bathroom or car as desired. Liquid Laundry wash What you need ~ 100 grams soap nuts ~ 3 litres of water ~ 20-25 drops mint extract ~ 1 teaspoon cornflour Optional add your essential oils Steps Bring the water to a boil. Place soap nuts in cotton bags. Reduce heat and simmer for an hour or so. Strain the liquid through the cloths. Compost nuts (I try to reuse the nuts until they don’t soap up anymore). Ready to be used. Tip: For a stain remover use soap nut liquid as a soaker by adding baking soda or washing soda with water. * I like to use soap nuts until it stop foaming test it first ***not finish** sorry for the text** Gel toilet blow cleaner What you need ~ 2 cups infused lavender water (overnight steep) ~ 1 1/2 cup baking soda (you can use 1/3 cup of borax to 1 cup baking soda) ~ 1/3 cup Castile soap ~ 25 - 30 drops mint extract Optional add your essential oils Steps Mix infused lavender water and baking soda until powders dissolve. Funnel mixture into an empty squeeze bottle. Slowly funnel in the Castile soap. Add mint extract. Shake to combine all ingredients. Ready to be used. Put around toilet bowl & leave for 30mins.
