This here took place around Lake Harriet in southwestern Minneapolis, MN on August 11, 2012. After my grandma & I went to the "Nook" in St. Paul to go eat a Juicy Nookie Burger there for lunch, we both decided to go searching for the popular local site, the "Elf House (AKA: the Gnome Tree);" which it's located on the walking path near where Queen Avenue T's into the perimeter drive around the lake. According to local legend, people could leave notes, letters, and gifts for Thom (better known as "Mr. Little Guy"), an elf who supposedly lives there and would often reply to questions or comments from people's letters sometime in the next few days or so. Also, it had been a local tradition in Minneapolis for at least 60 years since then. So anyways, when we got to the tree's location for the first-time ever, I got a good look at this interesting tree while I took a few pictures there and wrote my own message on a piece of paper from my notebook (that I brought along with me) around 6:35 pm; asking a question about his existance (as if I almost believed in him, but while I'm skeptical (and I am still)) and to see if I could get a respond from him (to find out if he's real or not). Once I finished my thoughts on paper, I put it into a plastic bag (that has been there the whole time before I got there) that was filled with a bunch of notes & letters inside this completely hallow tree. After that, I decided to record this moment and explaining about this local legend in this video while my grandma was waiting for me (who can be seen in the beginning of this video) before we left the place. So far, as of right now, I didn't got a respond yet from that alleged elf (probably because he doesn't give us a "mail" to anyone's questions except that our questions can only be answered along with our notes at his home tree). NOTE: During the winter season, the elf's door is closed shut and a plank appears stating that he has "moved to his castle in the east." It only reopens until springtime arrives.
