This 12" of the song, "Crazay" is just a perfect slice of dance and funk. The music video always stood out to me with the entire band AND Sly in it. Colorful, exciting and you can tell they're all having the time of their lives. Jesse Johnson is always the best and I've followed his career since his days in The Time, the band Prince formed in 1980 in Minneapolis. Ironically, Prince would end up using The Family Stone Band later in the mid to late 90s. I'm sure Prince always wanted to collaborate with Sly. Thing is, Sly did not. Jesse ended up getting along well with Sly, leading to their collaboration. Speaks volumes as to the coolness, relatability and genuine down to earth qualities Jesse possesses. Just incredible all the way around. And, so is this song and the video which I took the 12" audio and re-edited the video to fit.
