Baslow Edge | Stunning Short Walk in the Peak District

Over this last week I have seen a couple of YouTube videos of the heather at Baslow Edge, so I just had to go and have a look! I highly recommend you go and have a look while it is still heather season; it is literally a sea of purple, a real sight to behold. There is also great views of Chatsworth House with the River Derwent snaking through, Baslow, Curbar, Calver and Froggatt. If its clear you can see Kinder in the distance too. The route we took was just under 2 miles and we parked at Curbar Gap Car Park. You could make this a much longer walk if you wanted to, with Curbar Edge, Froggatt Edge and White Edge all near enough to include.
