hello :) today's Bible study with me on John 6 has been on my heart for a few weeks now. This Bible study on John 6 starts off with an account of the crowds seeing Jesus carry out wonderful miracles (feeding 5000, walking on water), but it sadly ends with many turning away from him. I wanted to study this chapter to assess my heart and motives towards growing near to God. The people wanted to follow Jesus for their own selfish desires but Jesus challenged the crowd and explained how to gain eternal life through believing in him. This truth lead the people to be offended toward Jesus and turn away from him. John 6 reminds me to remember the miracles and answered prayer that God has done in my life and embrace the truth of His Word. Have you read something in the Word that offended you?
