Cover Page Story Continues - 3rd of the Series goes to DFDS Group After successful lengthening projects UN Akdeniz and UN Cuneyt Solakoglu, the 3rd vessel UN Karadeniz has been converted and delivered to DFDS Group in September 2018. She has been lengthened by a mid-ship section in the cargo area of 30 m, a lengthening from 193 m to 223 m. Due to preliminary outfitting of the new 1150 ton mid-ship section, in-house designed and developed skidding system by Gemak R&D Team for moving forward part of the vessel weighing more than 4500 ton after cutting operation and in-house designed and developed high precision positioners, the time required for the conversion works is limited to less than 7 weeks stay at the yard.
