This videos shows the testing of our innovative 1000 Watt DC Generator. We will be using this generator as a test load for measuring the drive capacity of an electric bike motor. The DC generator is basically a permanent magnet DC electric motor that was repurposed as an electro-mechanical load in our ebike load simulator test setup. This concept can also be used as an a cheap alternative to a DIY wind turbine. To ensure a clean DC output, an external rectifier and filter capacitor to help minimize DC pulsations when the DC generator is driven at a low RPM.
