In this video, I will share my experience at the Liwa International Festival. Liwa International Festival returns this winter, bringing adrenaline, culture, and family fun to Abu Dhabi’s Empty Quarter. Set at the foot of Tal Moreeb, the UAE’s tallest dune, the festival blends motorsports, heritage, and entertainment in a truly unique desert setting. Expect high-energy racing, drifting, and dune bashing, alongside live shows and cultural experiences. At the heart of it all, Liwa Village offers carnival rides, a petting zoo, escape rooms, and the Liwa Village Souk, where local artisans showcase traditional crafts. Hailed as the crown jewel of the Liwa International Festival, the Moreeb Dune Car Championship is an adrenaline-packed three-day event set against the stunning backdrop of Liwa’s towering dunes. Held on the final three days of the festival, this thrilling competition showcases cars racing on one of the most challenging terrains in the world. With dunes reaching up to 300 meters high and slopes as steep as 50 degrees, drivers will push their machines to the limit in a test of skill, speed, and power. By Car: Take Sheikh Zayed Road (E10) toward Sweihan/Al Ain, following signs for Liwa. Continue on this route until you reach your destination. 2. By Taxi: You can take a taxi from anywhere in Abu Dhabi directly to Liwa. It’s a well-known destination, so most drivers will know the way. For the best experience of the Liwa festival, you can stay in camps. The prices of the camps may vary. You can book the camp from their website. You can also do camping at 'free camp areas', provided you are equipped with a tent and other essentials for the chilly nights. The amazing fact is that this place is equipped with all sorts of amenities such as portable toilets, shaded areas, camping zones with marked spaces for tents, Drinking water points, Festival staff patrol camping areas, Food trucks and stalls, Parking areas, First aid stations, Shaded resting points, Certain areas offer pre-set tents with bedding, lights, and small seating, and much more.
