The line will have 10 stations: Byrnihat, Sohkwai, Lailad, Umsong, Umar, Nongsder, Kyrdemkulai, Umroi, Umpling, and New Shillong. The line will also have 31 tunnels, covering a total length of 39.06 kilometers (24.28 mi). The longest tunnel is proposed to be 4.14 kilometers (2.57 mi) long. The total cost of the project is estimated to be around ₹4,000 crores (US$530 million). The project is expected to be completed in 2030.
