Cemented or Non-Cemented Knee Replacement?

There are 2 options your surgeon has to connect the knee replacement parts to your bone. The first is to use bone cement - a special substance that looks like playdough so it's moldable but it hardens really fast and holds the metal parts against the bone. The second is to adhere the implant by pressing it into the bone and allowing the bone to grow into a specially designed surface on the implant. There are pros and cons to both and your knee surgeon will give you advice on which is best for you specific situation.
