On our journey from Mumbai to Kolhapur we took the popular highway for Mumbai to Bangalore. The same route is followed for several places like Mahabaleshwar, Goa, Bangalore, Kerala, tamilnadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh etc... Drive through Mumbai Pune expressway is a dream that you will definitely enjoy, except for the traffic which is quite a lot most of the time. During our trip we had a cup of tea from a food court on Mumbai Pune expressway. The name of the food court is Food Carnival. Then we had our breakfast from Hotel Abhiruchi, which you should definitely not miss. We enjoyed Thalipeeth, Sheera, Sabudana Vada and tea from this place. Food was super delicious especially the Thalipeeth and sheera. This place is best for people like me who enjoy having Maharashtrian food.
