Conservative Party of Canada Leader Pierre Poilievre mocked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s appointment of a special rapporteur during question period in the House of Commons on Tuesday, calling it a “fake new position” that Trudeau has created. He accused Trudeau, who was not in the House of Commons on Tuesday due to the arrival of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Canada, of “hiding from Canadians.” New Democrat Party (NDP) Leader Jagmeet Singh also took aim at the Liberals over foreign interference in Canadian election.
