The Lindian Village is a beautiful, peaceful, luxury beachside resort, about an hour's drive from Rhodes airport. It really is a perfect place for a holiday. Glass of prosecco at a friendly, but slow for no obvious reason, check in and we were soon in a King River Passage Pool Suite with all-inclusive. This was a lovely upgrade to the two-room suite with terrace that we had booked and probably because of our Hilton HHonors Diamond status. A porter took us on a golf cart took to our room. King River Passage Pool Suite The hall contained a wardrobe with safe and complimentary minibar. The bedroom was beautifully appointed, with a four-poster king bed and bedroom bench (yes, that's what the end-of-bed furniture is called), large flat-screen tv, plenty of electrical and USB sockets and a separate dressing and wardrobe area. The TV only had English news channels, but did have YouTube. The wardrobes contained an ironing board and iron, hairdryer, fluffy bathrobes and slippers. The modern bathroom had both a bath and shower, plenty of quality toiletries, including sunscreen and after-sun and towels. The double sink was enormous. Weirdly, there were no tissues, only toilet rolls. Unlike the Atrium Prestige Resort, there wasn't a sign to say that toilet paper shouldn't be flushed - nonetheless, we were careful not to overload it. The sitting room had a table, sofa, another flat-screen TV, kettle, coffee pod machine and plenty of electrical and USB sockets. The pool area was impressive. Outdoor dining table. Balinese bed, outdoor shower and sunbeds. Pool cleaners visited every day to clean the pool. The wi-fi was fast and reliable throughout the hotel, including the beach. All-inclusive If you have the all-inclusive package, then you can easily enjoy a week without spending extra money - although please remember to tip the staff. You are able to dine, once per week, at each of the three à la carte restaurants. The house wine is a really good standard and large bottles of water are left on every table - we always took the half empty bottle away with us and you can also ask for a full bottle. Good quality cocktails and branded drinks are all included. You'll need to pay for top-shelf drinks such as single malt whisky. The staff ask for your room number, but amazingly remember it the next time. I tipped the Bliss bar staff €25 in advance rather than tip per drink. Didn't use the pool bar. Tipped €7 in the fine-dining restaurants. No idea if that was stingy or generous but they seemed happy. I can't understand why anyone wouldn't choose to add all-inclusive - drinks are expensive and it isn't as if there is a local restaurant within walking distance. There is a shop within the hotel that sells snacks, alcohol, swimwear, cosmetics, sunscreen and inflatables. A less-expensive shop is about 300m walk from the hotel entrance. The main restaurant has a good buffet with plenty of delicious items to choose from. Drinks are served at the table. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast buffet had good coffee, fresh juice and bottled water brought to your table. The buffet was extensive and included an omelette /fried egg station - only thing missing for me was poached eggs. The beach is private and has plenty of comfortable sun beds with beach umbrellas and Balinese beds. The sand is a mix of small stones and sand. The entrance to the sea, quite rocky. Wear beach swimming shoes. This isn't a Caribbean beach, but the sea was clear and really warm in September. Towels and bottled water are provided and there is a waiter service for fast food from the 'Yummy Truck' and drinks from the pool bar. We only took towels and water as we ate lunch at the buffet and drank around our pool or at the Bliss Bar. The Bliss bar opens at 6pm and sits between the main restaurant and Niku. We could always find a table after dinner and the drinks always arrived quickly. The pool is beautiful, with plenty of sunbeds. There isn't any loud music blasting, or some animation team shouting over a loudspeaker. Don't expect any foam parties. It's just peaceful. My legs were bitten by mosquitoes. I saw a few wasps, but none bothered us. I didn't see a single cockroach. Our pool terrace had some non-biting ants. No spiders. Just a few small flies. The hotel reception were friendly and were happy to arrange a late checkout until 2pm - we were also able to have lunch on the departure day. The Lindian Village Beach Resort is amazing. The architecture is beautiful, everywhere is clean, the staff friendly and professional, the food delicious. https://www.lindianvillage.gr/ 00:15 Walk to room 02:02 Suite with Private Pool 05:06 Main Square 07:04 Main Pool 08:27 Beach at Night 08:56 Buffet 09:30 À la carte
