Farm of the future

The agri-food industry must be structured around a new paradigm: to innovate at the service of sustainable growth, taking advantage of the opportunities offered by new technologies. Neovia has launched the Farm of the future project to meet these new challenges and build the society of tomorrow. This society project has 3 main dimensions : Revolutionize our R&D Favour interactions between farmers and consumers: Create a “technological showcase” for sustainable farming & promote partnerships. The Farm of the future aims to provide concrete answers to societal challenges and to build the sustainable farming of tomorrow. One of the Farm of the future’s objective will be to collect and analyse these data to understand, in real time, the needs of each animal and use exactly the right amount of feed to feed them and improve their zootechnical performance. This axe combines the concept of precision and sustainable livestock farming. It also aims at identifying and assessing solutions to reduce the impact of farms on the environment. Behavioural observation of animals combined with statistical analyses and innovative data processing helps identify recurring trends and anticipate the occurrence of major risks. The Farm of the future wishes to support and foster training for farmers to help them better integrate new technologies uses and practises in their development. It also aims at improving the working conditions of farmers through redesigned working environment and better work-life balance. The Farm of the future will be used as a place of dialogue and technology showcase to foster exchanges and integrate social issues in practises. iCownect was welcomed within the "Ferme du futur" network in November 2017.
