Kant is famous for completely rejecting lying. Often he is criticized for not even allowing emergency lies to save a human life. But the criticism tells more about the critics - about their superficial understanding of Kant and about their own lack of morality - than about him. A morality which doesn't have the ommandment of truthfulness as its fundament is no morality.
