Join me on my 2022 #BamaToBaxter (Appalachian Trail + Pinhoti Trail) thru hike. I will be following in the legends Nimblewill Nomad’s footsteps and thru hiking from Alabama to Maine. This trek starts at Flagg Mountain, Alabama with a thru hike of the Pinhoti Trail (348 miles) and then I will use a 72 mile connector on the Benton MacKaye Trail, which will take me to the start of the Appalachian Trail at Springer Mountain, Georgia. Before proceeding northbound I will descend and then ascend the Amicalola Falls AT approach trail. The Appalachian Trail (2,194.3 miles) will take me through 14 states before ascending Mount Katahdin in Maine.
