In June 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to have an hour-long phone call with Doug Martsch. After meeting him at a show and exchanging emails, I asked if he would be available for an interview, and he kindly agreed. I prepared a list of deep-cut questions that I was eager to ask. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Doug for allowing me to conduct this interview and for taking the time out of his day to do it. I also want to apologize for my nervousness during the conversation. Talking to my music idol, someone I've spent most of my life listening to, was a surreal experience, and it showed as I stumbled over my words.
