Today I invite you on one of those walks through the streets of Jerusalem, when the city itself leads you by the hand. We start from the Central Station - at lunchtime, in the pleasant spring sunshine. The temperature is around +21 and everything around us seems to be breathing life. The first stretch is along the busy Jaffa Street. Here you feel the atmosphere of walking through the streets of the old and new city at the same time: the hum of streetcars, noisy intersections, shop windows, voices, smells of coffee and pastries. The Pesach holidays bring even more energy - lots of families, children, laughter, lively faces. Turning onto Nordau and then onto Sderot HaNassi Hashishi, we leave the noise of the center behind and head towards the greenery. Through Sderot Ben Tsvi Street we enter Sacher Park, a favorite spot for vacationers and a great point to end our walk through the streets of Jerusalem. Life is different here: playgrounds, bicycle paths, cozy lawns where families picnic. The forest area is a nice place to shelter from the sun, and the local café is a great place to grab a bite to eat. And of course, the Jerusalem Bird Observatory is a special place. A quiet, secluded area with only birdsong and the babbling of the brook. We saw a brightly colored bird sitting on a branch - a shot that you want to revisit again and again. At the exit - the Monastery of the Holy Cross, a majestic monument of architecture and a worthy end of our walk. Such a Jerusalem - alive, real.
