The group's membership varied from album to album, the constant duo being Juicy J and DJ Paul. Other members included Gangsta Boo, Crunchy Black, Lord Infamous, and Koopsta Knicca. Since beginning their career in 1991, the group achieved worldwide fame with their distinctive style of Memphis crunk, characterized by choppy, shouted lyrics and drum machine beats. They’re most known for their classic hits such as “Stay Fly,” “Tear Da Club Up,” and “It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp” (featuring Frayser Boy), which earned them the 2006 Oscar for Best Original Song.
