The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognisance of the tragic case in Odisha where a 20-year-old college student allegedly set herself ablaze after facing sexual harassment and academic threats by her HOD. NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar has directed Odisha DGP to conduct a fair, time-bound investigation and take strict action against the accused.
