After yesterday's whirlwind trip to Tokyo DisneySea with my boyfriend Matt, today I am off to Tokyo Disneyland with my lovely friend Rachel! I've been to Walt Disney World many times, as well as Disneyland Paris a few times, and Disneyland California, but 2023 was my first time to Disneyland in Japan. Very exciting! We arrived at the park around 45 minutes before park opening, and it took us that long to get through security and the ticket gates. We went to Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast first as I thought this was the most popular ride in the park. That is true, but it also means it has huge wait times all day! We waited for 45 mins and then gave up. Big mistake! I'm going to record a tips video for Tokyo Disney soon because we learned SO MUCH over these two days! Disneyland Japan offer two types of fastpasses - Disney Premiere Access, which charges around £10/$12/1500 yen per person, and the Disney 40th anniversary pass for free fastpasses. We used both as much as possible! We went on these rides: it's a small world (20-minute wait), Space Mountain (free fastpass), Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin (20-minute wait), Splash Mountain (Premiere Access pass), Big Thunder Mountain (free fastpass), Pirates of the Caribbean (20-minute wait), Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beats (Premiere Access pass) We also watched two parades: Disney Harmony in Color parade in the afternoon and Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights. And watched Mickey's Magical Music World show (free ticket lottery in the Disneyland Tokyo app). Plus the Sky Full of Color fireworks! Food we ate: Central Street Coffee House for the Baymax rice and curry and Mickey Ukiwaman Chicken bun at Boiler Room Bites. It was such a great day and I'm so glad we got so much done after a stressful start! There is so much to see and do at Tokyo Disneyland. We left exhausted and very happy!
