Lake Czerniańskie is an artificial reservoir, constructed on the Wisła Czarna River between 1968 and 1973 for retention purposes and as a drinking water reservoir. Besides its utilitarian functions, the dam also serves as a tourist attraction with its promenade. The lake is surrounded by picturesque peaks of the Silesian Beskids, including Barania Góra. Nearby attractions include the Presidential Manor, the Biała Wisełka Valley with the famous Rodła Cascades, and a waterfall on the Wisełka.
