This video describes Unboxing of ventralight hernia mesh used in IPOM Laparoscopic Hernia surgery and its placement. This widely known as SepraMesh by BARD , USA . SEPRAMESH™ IP COMPOSITE Sepramesh™ IP Composite is a polypropylene mesh with a hydrogel safety coating, which resorbs within 30 days providing visceral protection during the critical healing period. The uncoated monofilament parietal side of Sepramesh™ IP Composite stimulates a fast fibrotic response. This results in strong tissue incorporation into the abdominal wall, which provides a strong long-term repair, minimizing recurrences and the need for permanent transfixation sutures. The parietal side of the mesh consists of monofilament polypropylene which encourages rapid tissue ingrowth and incorporation for a strong repair. The visceral side of the mesh is covered with a unique bioresorbable hydrogel coating that minimizes tissue attachment. Bioresorbable fibers reinforce mesh strength and bind the mesh to the hydrogel coating.
