Love to share our recent day trip to Trentham East as we enjoy lunch at the Pig and Whistle Hotel while embracing the history and heritage of what this hotel represents. Originally the Clare Morris Hotel which symbolised a home away from home for Irish settlers in the area. History would then evolve and a name change to Trentham East Hotel in 1950. The final chapter would turn for final name change to Pig and Whistle Hotel in 1960. A life of old world charm and heritage has made what we know the hotel to be today. Located on a quiet corner surrounded by lush paddocks and a sense of peacefulness, a living reminder of the town’s early history. The open fires roaring, food was sensational, staff very friendly and accomodating, what more can you ask for. The hotel is truly a local pub, that is a destination for all.
