Due to the injuries caused by playing sports or accidents, ACL bone breaks from a lower side of the tibia which is the root cause of this fracture. After getting injured person might suffer from knee pain, swelling, or stiffness in the knee after the ACL is displaced from its normal position. If the avulsed ligament is not displaced it can be treated by brace or plaster followed by physiotherapy exercises after removing plaster. But if avulsed ACL is displaced from its position then arthroscopic surgery is advised (दूरबीन से चीरा लगाकर सर्जरी). ACL is fixed using corkscrews or fiber wire tape. The growth of knee bone is not hindered after this surgery. For sports athletes procedure of arthroscopic surgery is done for better and faster results.
