Embaba is a densely populated neighbourhood on the Westbank of the river Nile, at the Northern tip of Cairo. Here life boils down to its essence. The inhabitants engage in all sorts of activities, not as a hobby as everybody else would do, but in order to survive in a basically hostile world. No less. Look, while passing Embaba, also in the little side alleys: endless new worlds to be discovered. Embaba is a metaphore of going through life itself. We are all Embabians. This seminal little film was taken from a taxi window on Thursday, 12 April 2012, at about 15:25 hours.
