Keep your weed and ISO ice cold when doing this, colder the better,I took my weed, alcohol and the mugs I was using out of the freezer right before I clicked the button to go live.Try to get the process done quickly so your stuff doesn't warm back up while your filtering it. The quicker you get the weed out of the solvent and the colder your solvent is, the less chlorophyll, fats and waxes you will get, resulting in a cleaner and more pure final product.Use a 10-30 second soak for high quality but less quantity, this is called QWISO or quick wash isopropyl, you shouldnt use too much alcohol if you do this. I like 1 minute washes but 2 minute washes are harsher and darker but you get a lot more.Use very low heat or none at all is better but evaporation will take longer.Use 99% isopropyl alcohol or everclear.Make sure your weed is dry.Make sure there is no solvent left in your final product.Coffee filter and strainer are essential.Make sure you have good ventilation the fumes are explosive.Have fun and experiment with different soak times.I save all my shake that I use to make this stuff so some day when I'm hard up for a puff I can just get some ISO and make some dirty stuff but you gotta cough to get off so I loves 'er.You can put your solution in a deep freeze or freezer overnight or for 48 hours and filter it again before you evaporate it,this is called winterizing,it freezes the plant fats and waxes and doesn't let them pass through the filter, but I think I eliminate the need for this step by already having my weed, alcohol and mugs cold,I tried it once but I didn't see any waxes or fats solidified at the bottom of the solution so I didn't waste a coffee filter to filter it again.Smaller batches are better and quicker to make.I put my final product on wax paper always.Every plant is different so each batch is different.
