Here are 10 things you must do when you arrive in the UK! Are you an international student in the uk? Have you just arrived to study in the uk? Are you already a uk student? Then this video is all you need. THINGS TO DO ON ARRIVAL IN THE UK 1. Get a SIM card; preferably from the provider you would want to use for your contract. Consider the best connection in your home, work and school. 2. Open a digital bank account: Monzo and starling are quick and easy. After quarantine, collect your BRP 4. Once you collect your BRP; apply for your National insurance number online https://www.apply-national-insurance-... Once you apply you’ll be able to look for work even without getting the number 5. Apply to be put on the voters electoral roll of your apartment; it helps to verify that you live there https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote 3,4 and 5 can be done in the same day (you’ll have to post 4 to them after filling the form) 6. Register at the GP (you’ll need a student letter from school and your BRP) can be done over the phone, try to pick the one closest to your accommodation where possible 7. Open a bank account if you still want 8. Download coople app if you are looking for work, temp jobs etc They’ll check your right to study first and then it’s easy 9.
