Tribute to Ryu Dong-ju, a Korean stomatologist who lived in Poland between the 1930s and 1988.

Ryu Dong-ju, also known as Tadeusz in Grójec, was one of the first Koreans to live in Poland. After arriving in Poland in the 1930s, Ryu worked as a dentist in Warsaw. Ryu Dong-ju loved his work; he was also an actor in his spare time, a teacher of (North) Korean at Warsaw University and a loving husband. He visited his native North Korea in the 1980s. He died in 1988 and we honour his memory. My name is Nicolas Levi. Together with Han Jin-myung, a former North Korean diplomat, we have written a book entitled 'I was a North Korean diplomat'.
