Verse 1 Morning broke, the council planned, Bound the Savior by their hand. Led Him to the Roman seat, Pilate judging in the street. Verse 2 Judas, filled with guilt and pain, Cast the silver, cursed the gain. “Blood of innocent I sold,” Hung in sorrow, lost and cold. Chorus Innocent Lamb, despised, betrayed, Silent before the crowd arrayed. Mercy rejected, justice torn, Christ condemned, the crown of scorn. Verse 3 Pilate asked, “Are You the King?” Jesus answered, truth did ring. Silent stood, no word He gave, Like a lamb before the grave. Verse 4 At the feast, a choice was made, Barabbas or Christ displayed. Crowds cried out with angry breath, “Free the rebel, put Him to death!” Bridge Pilate washed his hands in vain, Still the guilt and blood remain. Chosen curse, rejected grace, Yet redemption took its place. Final Chorus Innocent Lamb, despised, betrayed, Silent before the crowd arrayed.
