Sunday, 01/04/2026, at 7:01 PM (19:01), MTA NYC Subway IRT Broadway-7th Avenue Line, this is riding onboard a Bombardier R142 southbound rerouted (2) train in car #7089, traveling within Lower Manhattan. This is going from the 14th Street to South Ferry Stations, traveling express via 7th Avenue, and via the (1) line through the Financial District. Station stops skipped and served along the way: Christopher Street-Sheridan Square-Stonewall (skipped), Houston Street (skipped), Canal Street (skipped), Franklin Street (skipped), Chambers Street, WTC-Cortlandt, Rector Street. On this day due to weekend construction, there were many service changes on the (2), (4), and (5) trains, as well as (3) trains being completely suspended. (2) trains ran normal Manhattan express and Bronx local service between Chambers Street (Downtown Manhattan), and East 180th Street (The Bronx). However, (2) trains south of Chambers Street ran via the (1) line to and from South Ferry (Downtown Manhattan). Additionally, (2) trains north of East 180th Street ran via the (5) line to and from Eastchester-Dyre Avenue (The Bronx). (4) trains ran local between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Crown Heights-Utica Avenue, and were also extended to New Lots Avenue to replace (3) train service in Brooklyn. (5) trains ran local between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College, and were also extended to Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College to replace (2) train service in Brooklyn. Also, (5) trains north of East 180th Street ran via the (2) line to and from Wakefield-241st Street (The Bronx). Free shuttle buses and nearby bus routes replaced (3) train service north of 135th Street. Nearby stations along the (4), (5), and (R) lines replaced (2) and (3) train service between Chambers Street (Downtown Manhattan), and Nevins Street (Downtown Brooklyn).
