Welcome to my first-ever YouTube video. In this series, I’m documenting my journey as I train for a half marathon while balancing weightlifting and overall fitness. This episode kicks off my prep, giving you a look at my current running pace, strength training routine, and the mindset I’m bringing into this challenge. I spent four years in the Marine Corps, where running was a big part of my life, but since then, my running has been inconsistent. I’ve completed both a half and full marathon without training, but it’s been about a year since I last ran and nearly three years since I seriously trained. My short-term goal is to complete this half marathon in under two hours, but in the long run, I want to document my fitness journey and hopefully motivate others along the way.
