Habit (2021) is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. But is it the worst??? Written by an AI that has only read tumblr posts, Habit is offensive. Not because of sacrilege, I mean it is in your face, unrelentless about how bad it is. Easily one of the worst I’ve seen ever. It currently has a 2.7 on imdb, and 0% on rotten tomatoes, and I say that’s not low enough. On acting alone, this is unbearable to watch, it’s school play awkward. There is no way this wasn’t the first take after the first read of the first draft. This girl’s line was interrupted and they kept going. That’s some rehearsal shiznit right there. This evil asian lady just might be the worst actress ever. She makes a strong case here. Then you add the dialogue, which is a mixture of fake deep bathroom wall scribbles and shouting frick The story has no focus, it’s a bunch of filler scenes featuring the one note joke of Jesus is good juxtaposed with naughty stuff. The drug dealers capture a random girl from the group, tie her in a science lab and drop a snake on top of her for no reason. Then she escapes in the lamest, most flat way possible, kills them both, and we get to endure a long scene of her and her friends freaking out about that. They make it so easy to hate these characters, and you have no one to cheer for, cuz the people after them are lame too. Climaxing with a completely over the top gore scene. The only one in the movie. Here’s the thing, I cannot get habit out of my mind. It’s unapologetic about how bad it is the same way Disaster movie is. Or a car crash. I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. It’s like I suffered so much watching it, it has scarred me. And though I have PTSD, it is now the only life I know. Habit is a hidden gem of a bad movie, just craving for those 40 minute video essays taking it down. Mark my words, this one will be a trendy movie to talk about on youtube. I did it first. So, I do not recommend Habit. It is garbage. But it is peak garbage, if you get what I’m saying. #shorts
