You know it's a Mitch VR video when over half of it is just head voice. Messer's debut LP is here and it's rangey enough to warrant a video, yay! LOWEST NOTE A2 in "Not Yet" HIGHEST CHEST/MIXED NOTE B4 in "Break Open" HIGHEST NOTE B♭5 in "Human" MY THOUGHTS: Like most of Messer's music, this album has been a grower for me. Slowly connecting to these songs as I listen to the LP becomes way easier when every song is already so layered with harmonies and intricate adlibs that make every section in each track dynamic and memorable. Mitch is a gifted vocalist and by this I mean that he already has such a beautiful, pleasant tone to listen to, which only gets enhanced by his extreme skills as a performer. The contrast of his mellow, femenine voice with the electronic beats is stimulating and ear-catching, which all culminates in a beautiful raw performance displayed on "Clean". While I do lament that there's only seven songs, it's still a worthy output and it fills me with joy that Mitch gets to do the music that inspires him at his own pace, and that I get to listen to the results at the end of the day.
