Happy 40th anniversary to Xanadu!!! Which was essentially the Doom 1 of Japanese PC games basically (definitely comparable in terms of impact on the industry). With Tokyo Xanadu 2 being late for the birthday party, I decided to take matters into my own hands kek. Ok so Scenario II isn't exactly the same as the original Xanadu, obviously, but they are about a year apart so... I guess that counts? Anyway, I always liked this little tune. I find that it evokes a feeling of nostalgia within me (even if I was born WAY after this game was released). I wanted to approach arranging this song as if I was making a Super Arrange, mixed with my usual Doujin arrange mentality. Which basically means go ham on it lol. A few inspirations include various 90s\late 80s anime songs, and Rusty Ruin Sega Saturn version... weirdly enough. The intro is also a parody of Perpetual Dark! also by Yuzo Koshiro, I think these two songs share a similar vibe. So while some parts may sound a little... too much, I think the parts I'm most proud of are all in the second half starting with the bass solo. Fun fact: I wrote the guitar solo part while I was drunk! ...Not that you could tell with how basic and cliche it is, but anyway. Cheers!
