Weight and speed restrictions for heavier vehicles take effect in Michigan

With the warmer weather, we have a temporary break from the icy roads, but all that melting snow means those roads are taking damage from heavier vehicles. Weight and speed restrictions are now in effect in much of Michigan this week, including in Barry County. If a vehicle weighs over 10,000 pounds, 35 miles per hour is the speed limit as the Road Commission fights against the melting snow.
