Other notes beyond what I say at the end: you really have to press hard on the pedal for the parking brake, to the point where we're not sure if all of our drivers will be able to operate it. The transmission control is not so intuitive; in order to change gears, you have to switch to manual mode, and then remember which direction on the stalk is up and which is down. The indicators for which gear you're in are tucked into the bottom of the gauge cluster. I much prefer the pushbutton Allison controls like on the MCI, where you don't have a separate manual mode, it's clear where up and down are, and the indicators are clearly visible. These are a lot of gripes, some more significant and some less. Having dash ventilation is nice. All said though, I still prefer the old crusty buses. Still waiting for my stick shift bus! Yes I am qualified!
