Make Dumpukht at Home! Traditional Mutton Recipe in Clay Pot

Uses fat and bone for maximum flavor and tenderness. Cooked in its own steam – no extra water added! Simple ingredients, incredible taste. Melt-in-your-mouth texture through slow cooking (2.5-3 hours). Ingredients: 1 kg Mutton (with fat and bone pieces) 1 teaspoon Salt (or to taste) Some large bones (especially tube bone - optional but recommended) 2 whole Onions 2 whole Tomatoes (optional, but adds great taste according to the chef) 2 pieces Ginger 1 whole Garlic clove (unpeeled) Some Green chillies (for aroma and mild spice) 1 teaspoon Whole black pepper Kneaded dough (for sealing the pot) Method Highlights: Marinate mutton with salt and let sit for 30-45 minutes. Layer fat, large bones, and marinated meat in a clay pot (or heavy bottom pot). Add whole onions, tomatoes, ginger, unpeeled garlic, green chillies, and whole black pepper. Seal the pot completely with kneaded dough and the lid. Cook on high heat for 5-8 minutes until the pot heats up and steam builds. Reduce heat to very low and cook for at least 2.5 to 3 hours.
