This stuff is amazing! If you want to paint a glossy surface and you want to make sure the final coat of paint will stick, use a shellac base primer. Made in part from the "lac" bug of some remote parts of the world, this primer provides EXCELLENT adhesion and EXCELLENT stain and odor blocking. It dries fast, has kind of a powerful unique smell during painting, and is really thin. The paint fumes, although strong, quickly go away once this primer dries. Always use good ventilation and a proper respirator.
