This seminar is a gathering to reflect on the life and legacy of a Damascene scholar who united the precision of fiqh with the beauty of tazkiya: Shaykh Adeeb Kallas (rahimahullah)—a teacher who lived what he taught, and taught what he lived. Over the course of the evening, we explore the essential link between knowledge and character—between lesson and state—at a time when we urgently need exemplars who connect knowledge to people and restore to learning its living meaning. Together with the audience, Shaykh Basem ‘Itani and Shaykh Faraz Rabbani will consider how we can carry this scholar’s light in our seeking of knowledge, in our service, and in our journey to Allah Most High. The program offers practical pathways to embody the values Shaykh Adeeb exemplified: presence of heart, disciplined effort, mercy in teaching, and steadfast service to the religion.
