Bought A Damaged Dooney and Bourke Patton leather clutch, with that damage to the patent leather from some sort of red dye and using Angeles direct leather dyes and Barbasol shaving cream, I was able to give it a cool fire dye look. First using 100% acetone nail polish remover ID glazed the entire clutch. I placed down a trash bag and a layer of Barbasol in the shape of a rectangle then using a wool dauber, I gently dropped Angeles die down and then swirled it in a crazy eight formation. I also made dye in two different yogurt containers, one for the strap, and one for extra die to drop on the top of the patent leather clutch. I made sure that the mixture was touching every part of the patent leather, and I left it for six hours. After six hours I scraped the dye and Barbasol mixture off onto the bag I quit the clutch aside and turn the bag inside out for easy cleaning. Then using a couple of paper towels I wipe down the bag and the strap. After they had dried for about 5 to 10 minutes I used shoe polish to clean up the rest of the clutch and the strap. And now it’s a beautiful fire like design on what was a damaged designer patent leather clutch. Thanks for watching.
