I love China and I agree with the isolation policy for anyone coming into the country. I was in Europe and waiting for China to lift the isolation restrictions. When they changed from 21 days down to 7 days I was on the line, but when they said isolation only 5 days I took a closer look. They said: When you fly back you are taken to a hotel. You can choose your room size (you pay for your own room). You will be isolated there for 5 days and then sent home where you will isolate for 3 days. So when I arrive, I am bussed 100 kilometers away from the airport to this prison complex. Electric fences, double gated 20 foot high walls, and 20 square meter pods (200 square feet). No options for larger rooms. Not allowed to go home for the last 3 days of isolation. Just 8 straight days in this prison complex. NOTE: It is important to let you know that not all areas in China are the same. Shenzhen does have hotels. My friend is at the Hilton isolating there. I made the mistake of flying into Guangzhou. If you fly to Guangzhou you go STRAIGHT TO PRISON for isolation.
