The drama & excitement continues at the 2025 Novus Automotive Rally of the Tall Pines in Bancroft, Ontario. The weather always seems to be the topic of conversation leading up and during the rally. The week prior saw the stages covered in snow, followed by warmth and rain and then ended when a cold snap. When the race began the roads were hard packs with icy spots. Not to mention the forest stages were snow covered. This led to an intense battle in the penultimate race in the Canadian Rally Championship. Simon Vincent & Hubert Gaudreau won the first two stages in their Subaru Impreza. Once the third stage started them team out of Mexico, Ricardo Cordero & Marco Hernandez, put the pedal to the floor and raced their Citroen C-3 to victory, winning the rest of the stages. We cannot forget the outstanding race Jonathan Drake & Ian Lantz had in their Subaru. In the end they were just 4 seconds behind and finished 3rd to complete the podium. The exciting race will setup up a nail biting finish to the Canadian Rally Championship with Cordero/Hernandez tied with Vincent/Gaudreau on top of the standings. The championship will be decided at the Big White Winter Rally in Kelowna, BC. GHR Motorsports vs. TEST Racing, what a finish it will be! 29 cars started the Tall Pines Rally with only 9 finishing. There were two roll overs with one being more dramatic than the other. Thankfully everyone was OK although the cars were severely damaged. Lalande/Brisset slowly rolled their Peugeot while Pougnet/Rouleau intensely rolled 4.5 times and recorded 10.8g impact. This occurred on Lower Old Hastings Road. They are sore but recovering well and we wish both teams a speedy recovery and speedy repairs. Thanks to all the organizers, race teams and volunteers for putting on another great rally. Thanks to the host town, Bancroft and all the surrounding townships for letting the rally take over their November weekend. Thanks for watching and see you next year!
