I discuss the possibility of a 7.2L Cummins Diesel Engine in the new 2025 Ram 2500 HD pick up trucks replacing the longstanding 6.7L cummins engine. There is speculation that the new cummins engine could be 7.2L of displacement. I give reason why this could be possible given the new EPA emission protocols to lower Nox gases. I also shair my doubt this larger 7.2L cummins engine will find its way into the 2025 Ram 2500 trucks. But without a doubt I think the biggest reason any diesel engine manufactuer does what they do today is to meet emission regulations expecially with cummins having been hit with a record breaking fine earlier this year for avoiding emission regulations. the first reason why I don't think this 7.2L cummins engine will come to life replacing the longstanding 6.7L cummins engine is because of the size. the current 6.7L engine barely fits into the engine bay of the Ram Hd trucks as it sits already and I find it hard to believe a larger engine would be able to fit without some changes to the cab which as I mentioned are not happening. the second reason I don't see this 7.2L cummins engine happening is because of how heavy it would be. the Ram 2500 trucks have already pretty low Payload figures and an even heavier engine would certainly not help those payload figures. lastly and probably the biggest reason why these big 7.2L cummins engines won't happens is because we haven't heard anything about them. I just find it incredibly hard to believe that this secret could be kept this long.
