Security Maintains Presence at Bobi Wine’s Residence Amid Ongoing Threat Assessment

Security has committed to maintaining its presence at the residence of former presidential candidate and President of the National Unity Platform Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, until what it describes as threats to national security cease. While addressing the press, Police Spokesperson ACP Rusoke Kituuma said police have not yet compiled the election policing report and are therefore unable to establish the extent of the impact the recently concluded elections may have had on national security and democratic principles. It is now almost a month since the country conducted the 2026 general elections. From polling day to date, security has maintained a visible presence at the residence of the former presidential candidate and NUP president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, in Magere. Security has justified its continued visibility at the premises.
