How to Make a Vinyl Horse Fence Stronger

Hi everyone! Last week Ethan(my horse) lived up to his Houdini nickname as he broke through a portion of his pasture fence. Thankfully he didn't hurt himself this time! And each time my horses break through the vinyl fencing we have I have been replacing the rails with 2 x 6 lumber. I have been doing it this way because replacing the vinyl rails is expensive. A vinyl fence replacement rail is about $15.00. A 2 x 6 is about $6.00, and it is stronger. I just paint the wood with Kilz 2 primer, and it looks likes the vinyl!
