In this COVID-19 era, remote or home-based speech therapy is at the top of every Comprehensive Cleft Care (CCC) team's radar. Speech@Home is an evidence-based method that facilitates the process of parents of children with cleft palate delivering speech therapy under the supervision of a speech and language therapist (SLT). Join Debbie Sell and Triona Sweeney, Speech@Home's co-founders, as they explore the research foundation for this method, and the lessons this might provide for CCC professionals around the world. Dr. Triona Sweeney is a Cleft Specialist SLT who worked for many years at the Dublin Cleft Centre, Temple Street University Hospital, and was a lecturer in developmental speech disorders, clinical phonetics and cleft palate at the University of Limerick. Dr. Debbie Sell is also a Cleft Specialist SLT and Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Outcomes and Experience Research in Children's Health, Illness and Disability at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK. She co-edited a book on Cleft Care in the Developing World.
