At the Scream 7 World Premiere, the unmistakable voice behind Ghostface, Roger L. Jackson, revealed how he created one of horror’s most chilling sounds — and why it still terrifies audiences 30 years later. Jackson shared that he developed the voice during his very first audition. Reading the opening scene of the original film, he knew “it had to be a very real voice. It’s not a cartoony villain or anything like that.” He explained that he added “a little bit of warmth” and playfulness — enough to keep the victim on the phone — but made sure it could “go very dark.” Interviews for Scream 7 at the World Premiere in LA.
